New signage and CCTV
The installation of the signs forms part of the first phase of works to improve the entrance to the airfield. The private road does not form part of the local public rights of way network so the signs have been installed as a reminder given that with the road regularly used by traffic, including HGVs and agricultural machinery, PfP are endeavouring to deter fly tipping and display that it is a private road.
Phase two of the works will include the installation of additional signage around the estate to clearly identify where the public footpaths are located, as well as including QR codes on the signs that will link through to the Hertfordshire County Council webpage detailing the local walking routes.
The work undertaken to date does not restrict the use of the public footpaths.
