National Grid tree works
National Grid accessed the Village 7 site in late July 2025 as some trees had encroached upon the safety zone of the overhead power lines. The trees had to be pruned to maintain this safety zone. This work was not related to Taylor Wimpey’s proposals for Village 7 of the Gilston Area.

Archaeological surveys
Archaeological surveys are taking place on the Village 7 site in mid-June and should last until early 2026.
